Amason lives on the remote Kodiak Island, and combines painting and carving into her works, drawing upon sights she sees while working as a fisher. For instance, Foster/White is using their back walls on the main floor for a group show that would have otherwise been in their booth at Seattle Art Fair. VS Editor @missiontobohemia and style writer @lisajcole were invited to a press preview of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020 today at the downtown flagship store. This sale for Nordstrom is traditionally held in July, but was moved to August with a new venue after the pandemic hit. The retailer is offering virtual stylings, online beauty events and more as they reconnect with their customers.

Recently @babyandcompany owner @jill0baby collabor

Recently @babyandcompany owner @jill0baby collaborated with photographer @anastas.babenko and stylist @kimbrooksstyle on a project to take an unprecedented look at fashion in Seattle. The three created an editorial concept that reflected the current situation of social distancing and isolation experienced by all of us during the lockdown from the COVID pandemic. The shoot was done with social distancing rules in place in several empty rooms of The Hotel Sorrento in Seattle. The images capture the isolation of doing a shoot remotely, with models in separate spaces and the results of the shoot shared through screenshots.
