From Seattle Weavers' Guild SEATTLE WEAVERS' GUILD ANNUAL SALE FEATURES THOUSANDS OF ORIGINAL FIBER PIECES BY MEMBER ARTISTS The Seattle Weavers' Guild Annual Sale is more than just a sale. It gives you a chance to find that exceptional, one-of-a-kind item for your home, your office, your wardrobe, or that someone special in your life. You can see the process of weaving fabric and baskets, spinning yarn, and doing other fiber arts. You can talk to many of the artists whose work you admire. The sale will showcase one-of-a-kind handcrafted items, including towels, rugs, blankets, tapestries, sculptural baskets, handmade cards, accessories for pets, children's items, hats, bags, jackets, scarves, wraps, exquisite jewelry, liturgical weaving, and handspun and/or hand-dyed yarns along with weaving and spinning tools. Flower Moon Dinner at The London Plane
The London Plane floral series presents a floral-inspired springtime dinner that celebrates the Flower Moon, or Blue Moon that is lighting up the sky this weekend. The event includes a hands-on floral experience and dinner. This past year we have seen some spectacular celestial events, from a total lunar eclipse to a trio of Super Moons. Beginning on Saturday May 18 through Sunday the 19th, the Full Flower Moon, also known as the Blue Moon will appear. This spectacular sight will not appear again for another two years. Celebrate the Flower Moon on Saturday evening with a guided floral arranging session and a special dinner. The event begins at 6 pm and includes making floral crowns with springtime blooms, and a discussion about the foods and flowers of late Spring in the Northwest. London Plane's new head chef Zarah Duncanson has created a 3 course family style plant-based dinner for the occasion, including cocktails and wine.
