Lusio Lights, the light art extravaganza, returns to Volunteer Park Conservatory this weekend, Saturday, January 20. A slew of local artists will transform the already beautiful plants into glowing installations for one night only, from 6pm to 9pm.

For a tiny taste, check out the projection mapping on cacti by SPACEFILLER at the last Lusio event:

The featured artists this time are SPACEFILLER, Joe Griffith, MOKEDO, Scott Keva James and Black Water Stars. Guests who are 21+ can get a drink at the Bromeliad House bar to sip while taking in the art. Want to dance? There will be DJed music in the Seasonal House of the conservatory. Advanced tickets are $15 and day-of-event tickets are $17. (Friends of the Conservatory get a $5 discount.) Kids 12 and under are free.

Can’t make it this time? Mark the calendar for the next Lusio Events on March 3 and April 7. Get more info on the Facebook event page. Get tickets online.
