Last week was an action-packed start to the holiday season as November ended and December kicked off with a Bang! Three great events happened and Vanguard Seattle was there to take it all in.

PROVIDENCE O’CHRISTMAS TREES CARNIVAL,  SILVER BELLS LUNCHEON AND GALA

Ladies-who-lunch, VS’s Lisa Cole and Sarah Caples Noble, attended The Silver Bells Luncheon to support one of our favorite causes: Providence Mount St. Vincent. Meanwhile, VS’s social media team lead Zach Dowdie, attended the Providence O’Christmas Trees Gala in great style. This evening ranks as our top favorite ways to usher in the holiday season. The formal attire and gorgeous Christmas trees auctioned off create a festive atmosphere in the true spirit of Christmas charity. The cause MC’d by Dennis Bounds, raised 1.5 million dollars in support of seniors who have outlived their resources here in King County., and the gala was attended by 775 people. The highest bid on a tree was $50,000!

At @otreesseattle last night on behalf of @vanguardseattle 🎄🎁 $1.5 million was raised last night!

GRAY AWARDS 2017 DESIGN COMPETITION

If you wanted to see the most fashionable and relevant crowd in design and fashion in the city it would have been at Gray Magazine’s Awards Party. Seattle’s design community turned out as the hippest crowd in town last Wednesday night. Fifty percent of the ticket sales went to benefit The Block Project, dedicated to alleviating homelessness. Categories for awards included: Architecture, Interior Design, Fashion. Landscape Design, Product Design, Student Design and Wildcard. If seeing these Instagram photos is giving you FOMO, make sure and get there next year!
