Bring your budding artists and art-lovers to The Henry Art Gallery on Sunday, April 30 for a free day of activities, performances and film. From 1-4pm, the fifth annual Arty Party will fill every nook of the museum. The recently unveiled installation by Kraft Duntz and Dawn Cerny has already turned the lower gallery into a play room of sorts. (Its central turret will provide a space for something special upstairs, too, I presume).
Ongoing activities from 1pm to 3:30pm include.
- A scavenger hunt with Kids and Race
- The Makery’s Make and Take
- Form play with Dawn Cerny and Colleen Brown
- Community partner tables
Shine On! Film Screening: 1:30pm to 2:30pm
“Travel the globe” with the best animated films from the Seattle Children’s Film Festival 2017, co-presented with Northwest Film Forum.
The Big Finale: 3:30pm to 4pm
Featuring a performance with the Splinter Dance Company
