This Wednesday, March 1, Rare Air presents Motion Graphics, Visual Cloaks, Noel Brass Jr. and Raica at Timbre Room for a night of forward-thinking music and visuals.

New York-based electronic artist Joe Williams will headline the night with his solo project, Motion Graphics. Released in August 2016, the album combines elements of techno-pop and jazz with custom randomized software instruments, creating a unique and compelling collection of sounds. Williams will be accompanied by Visible Cloaks. Following the February 17 release of the Portland duo’s second full-length album Reassemblage, their live performance will come with passages of silence and sound, creating a space for consciousness. Further contributing to the atmosphere of the night will be Seattle composer and keyboardist, Noel Brass, Jr.’s in all of his psychedelic, soulful glory and DJ Raica (Chloe Harris) with her deep cuts.

The sounds of the evening will come along with playful, psychedelic visuals by Rare Air resident artist I Want You (Christina Peterson). The night will also feature a virtual reality installation by multimedia artist and organizer Matt Henderson. Henderson will present “The Rose Room”: a MIDI-controlled virtual environment of interactive objects and perceptual “trippiness” to combat base-reality blues.” Grab your tickets today for a night of ambient sounds and captivating visuals.
