Sci-fi and fantasy fans the world over ought unite for the 2017 Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival. The event goes down at Cinerama this Saturday, January 28 at noon. Presented by MoPop in partnership with SIFF, the festival features 20 animated and live action films from international filmmakers. From MoPop:

SFFSFF highlights the work of industry professionals to encourage and support new, creative additions to science fiction and fantasy cinema arts.

Admitted films are judged by a nationally recognized jury comprised of luminaries in the fields of science fiction and fantasy. Ten short films will screen in the first session followed by ten short films in the second session, with an intermission in between. An awards ceremony will follow the second session.
