Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley is hosting two nights of soul with 2015 Grammy nominee, vocalist and drummer Jamison Ross.

The multitalented and unique artist is a refreshing addition to the world of jazz as a composer, arranger, vocalist and drummer. His natural talents and extensive education in the genre gives Ross an honest, refined sound.

Beginning his journey into jazz in high school, Ross was first noticed as a featured musician in the Tribeca Film Festival winning documentary, Chops. He went on to become a jazz studies student at Florida State University, where he caught the eye of Grammy-winning songwriter and vocalist, Carmen Lundy, who asked him to join her band on a world tour.

Ross continued his formal education at the University of New Orleans where he earned a Master of Music Degree. His profound knowledge of the genre gives him a technical edge. This combined with his artistry and passion have gained him respect within the jazz community and many well-deserved fans. His Grammy-nominated debut, Jamison, is an invigorating unification of his vocal and drumming talents, and will set the stage for two memorable performances this week at Jazz Alley.
