The new year is finally here, and that means a whole new crop of fresh arts and cultural events to see and do in Seattle. Start your week on Tuesday at Folio for The Harmonious Society of Tickle-Fiddle GentlemanOn Wednesday, take in some films when Northwest Film Forum hosts the 2016 Sundance Film  Festival Short Film TourHenry Art Gallery has your art needs covered on Thursday for their ongoing lecture series, Critical Issues in Contemporary Art Practice: Melanie Gilligan at Henry Art Gallery. Then on Friday, head to ACT Theatre for the last two days of 14/48: The World’s Quickest Theater Festival. For a healthy dose of opera, Saturday sees the premiere of Verdi’s classic La Traviata at Seattle Opera. Finally, polish out the week with some award winning dance when SeattleDance presents the 2016 DanceCrush Awardees at Erickson Theatre. January’s just getting started. Let’s Get Out! Seattle.
