You have one week before Christmas. Therefore, it’s time to cross off all the names on your list. If you are having trouble finding the right gift for some of your friends and family, you aren’t alone. Fortunately, there is no shortage of special shopping events happening around town, where the perfect present may just present itself. Here are four we recommend:

Renegade Craft Fair at Magnuson Park, December 17-18

The holiday edition of Renegade Craft Fair fills Magnuson Park’s Hangar 30 with booths and tables from 200+ makers and artisans. You can find fabulous jewelry and accessories, home decor, food and drink fixings and art all in one place. KEXP‘s DJ Tim will spin live sets and there will be plenty of food and drink options to keep shoppers fueled, including hot beverages and kombucha cocktails. Time Out Seattle will raffle off a goodie bag full of handmade products from the Fair’s makers worth over $1,000. Check out the Facebook event page.

COAL at Vermillion, December 17

COAL is a one-day-only, pop-up boutique at Vermillion Art Gallery, geared toward those with a taste for the subversive and flamboyant. Art and wares come from nearly a dozen local makers, including artist Mariel Andrade, milliner Lovewell Couture, underwear designer and costumer Danial Webster, local label Jesus Mary Anne Joseph and more. Vermillion is ages 21 and up and has a full bar, so come and get cozy from 2pm to 8pm. Check out the Facebook event page.

The Punk Rock Flea Market at V2, December 20-22

Punk Rock Flea Market returns to V2 for a last hoorah before building comes, Tuesday through Thursday, December 20-22. It’s an evening market, opening at 4pm, with a bar and DJs spinning, adding to the already cool atmosphere that PRFM brings. Tuesday and Wednesday, the market closes at 10pm, but it goes until midnight on Thursday. As it is THE final event in a long valued building at the heart of Capitol Hill, it will be quite the party for sure. Check out the Facebook event page.

Holiday Market at Westlake Park, Through December 24

It’s the fourth and final week of the open-air Holiday Market at Westlake Park in the heart of downtown. Made in partnership between Urban Craft Uprising and the DSBA, it features 12 huts with a rotating roster of 24 local makers each week. It’s a great place to discover local small businesses and truly original creations. It’s also a more intimate alternative to the big box stores. That said, if you need to do some shopping at the big boxes, too, the Holiday Market is a convenient stop just a few blocks away from Pacific Place. Check out the Facebook event page.

Bonus seasonal fun: Pop into Pacific Place for two nightly “snow” showers in the main atrium and check out the outer wall of the building on 6th Avenue to see stunning 3D mapping, projected nightly.

Happy shopping!
