With the new year approaching, it’s time to try new styles (or maybe just get a new wardrobe basic to start fresh). This weekend is your chance to do both at a deep discount. Prairie Underground hosts its annual sample sale at its factory in Georgetown this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11.

From 10am to 4pm, you can pop in and find hundreds of past season samples and factory seconds, as well as some items never released for retail. Everything is 50-85% off retail price and 20% of proceeds will be donated to local non-profits focusing on women and children’s health, childhood development and art.

Beyond finding your new favorite hoodie or tunic, you always meet interesting people at PrU. The company is committed to supporting art and even commissioning collaborations with artists. Naturally, it is also focused on sustainable practices in manufacturing.

Fresh stock will be added each day, so even if you come Sunday afternoon, you’ll have plenty to pick from. Street parking abounds in PrU’s corner of town. On Saturday, we recommend staying in Georgetown for the last Art Attack of the year, too. Read our guide for that event.
