Freakout Festival (formerly known as The Psychedelic Holiday Freakout) breaks confines of the typical “festival season” and holds steady through the blustery, Seattle December to bless Capitol Hill with two days of live music. Thursday and Friday will be loud with talent and good times, throwing a bone to all of the deprived festheads out there and offering a chill alternative to those who tend to steer away from such things. Furthermore, the festival will introduce Freakout Records to the community. Started by locals, Ian Cunningham, Skyler Locatelli, Guy Keltner and Nathan Casey back in January, the label makes it a point to give proper control and respect to its artists.

All seven of Freakout Records’ acts will hit the stage, including songstress Maiah Manser and modern rock band Smokey Brights. This is just the beginning, as more than 20 bands will participate in the takeover of the four Capitol Hill venues: Chop Suey, Pony, Bar Sue and LoveCityLove. The festival is 21+, aside from LoveCityLove, which provides discounted tickets and an alcohol-free zone for all kiddies to attend the Friday show, featuring Erik Blood, Maiah Manser, DoNormaal and more.  For more details on the lineup and ticket information, click here.
