Wednesday, November 30 is just the beginning of The California Honeydrops’ two-night takeover of the Tractor Tavern. The party truly never stops with this band. The California Honeydrops’ pulls together influences from Bay Area R&B, New Orleans second-line, funk, Southern soul and Delta blues for one purpose: to make the audience dance and sing.
Formed by Lech Wierzynski and Ben Malament in an Oakland transit station, the Honeydrops have evolved into a strong five-piece band with a rich sound. Through their nine European tours, featured slots at premiere festivals and supporting performances for B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt and more, the group has assembled a diverse fan base. No worries if you miss out on Wednesday tickets, because The California Honeydrops will return to Tractor Tavern on Thursday, December 1 for another night of jamming, dancing and good times.
