F*CK MY TITS, Memorial Celebration Benefiting LGBTQ+ Youth, October 22

For art lovers who also want to support LGBTQ+ youth in Seattle, there is a very special event not to be missed on October 22. The F*CK MY TITS party was originally conceived by painter Seb Barnett as a celebration among friends to raise funds for Barnett’s double mastectomy. Sadly, Barnett passed away on October 7.

The arts community has decided to throw the party as a celebration of Barnett’s life. DJs will provide a dance-worthy soundtrack through the night. Guests will enjoy beverages from a donation bar and drag king performances by NG Langston’s Dapper Down Productions. All proceeds will go to local charities. Those proceeds will also include earnings from a silent auction of artwork by more than 40 local artists, including Crystal Barbre and Casey Weldon. There will also be a few prints of Barnett’s paintings (but no originals).

For those unfamiliar with this beloved Seattle artist, read arts writer Sarra Scherb‘s article about Barnett here on Vanguard Seattle. Friends and admirers of Barnett are encouraged to bring tokens to be placed at a green altar. (E.g. a cool rock, a little plants, a written message, etc.) Everyone is encouraged to wear expressive clothing and their dancing shoes. This is a celebration of life, community and art, not a wake.
