Hallows Eve draws ever nearer, and with it comes a new week of Autumn activities in Seattle. Kick things off on Tuesday with the 48 Hour Horror Film Project at SIFF Cinema Uptown. On Wednesday, SAM Gallery debuts its latest with Frocks & Vestments, running through November 3. If it’s alternative cinema you’re after, don’t miss opening night of TWIST: Seattle Queer Film Festival, opening this Thursday and running through Sunday, October 23 at various venues throughout Seattle. On Friday, Cold War Kids will rock out at Showbox SoDo along with the Strumbellas. Saturday sees the opening night of Engelbert Humperdink’s Hansel & Gretel at McCaw Hall as presented by Seattle Opera. Finally, end the week as it began with a little horror at Naked City Brewery and Taphouse when Shriek presents a screening and discussion of The Invitation. Fall demands fun. Let’s Get Out, Seattle!
