The queers are coming from inside the house! This Wednesday, October 5, Hugo House in First Hill will host Contagious Exchanges: Queer Writers in Conversation.

Hosted by Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore, this month’s talk will feature outstanding local writers Rebecca Brown and C. Davida Ingram. (Both have won the Stranger Genius Awards, for instance.) Brown and Ingram will present their work, followed by a Q&A. From Hugo House:

CONTAGIOUS EXCHANGES features two dynamic writers bridging genre, style, sensibility, and all the markers of identity in queer lives. Cross-pollinating spoken word with literary fiction, poetic experimentation with creative nonfiction, hybrid work with narrative prose, CONTAGIOUS EXCHANGES seeks to explode boundaries so that critical engagement can thrive.”

The event promises to be a fun night of gender-fluid literature and justice for all!
