Want to have a fun artful experience to start your fall right? On Saturday September 24, Pratt Fine Arts Center will hold their much-beloved Fall Open House. Pratt’s bi-annual open houses are allow you to see what is being made (and how) at its multidisciplinary workshops and programs.
There will be live demonstrations of glass blowing, print pulling, stone carving, a molten bronze pour, red-hot steel forging, wood turning and more. The event welcomes all ages, with free activities for kids, too. Special discounts on registration are offered during the event, in case you get enticed to enroll in a class or two.
If you make a day of it at the Fall Open House, there will be food trucks from Chopstix and Ezell’s to keep you fueled up. And while you are enjoying the visual arts, you can also see a very special musical tribute. Seattle’s Queen of Blues Lady A and Northwest Tap Connection will honor the late jazz singer Ernestine Anderson with live performances.
Whether you’re thinking about taking classes or just want a fun and unique activity for an early fall afternoon, check out to the Fall Open House at Pratt this weekend.
