This Tuesday, July 26, University District’s historic Grand Illusion Cinema will present Cinememory: Negotiating the Past Through Film. Curated by Kamila Kuc (UK) and Seattle’s own Reed O’Beirne, event organizers describe the program as consisting of, “international and local experimental films that explore how personal and collective memories are mediated through the use of various cinematic devices.”

Cinememory will feature filmmakers: Sam Jury, Kamila Kuc, Heidi Kumao, Sally Cloninger, Linda Fenstermaker, Jason Robinson, Reed O’Beirne, Salise Hughes, Dustin Zemel and Caryn Cline for an evening of film that spans time and space… metaphorically.

Check out this trailer from O’Beirne’s short film “Last of Our Kind” for a glimpse of what’s to come.
