Solstice weekend, the Fremont Solstice fundraiser will take place in order to support local arts and cultural programs. Primarily a music festival, the lineup includes Hey Marseilles, The Helio Sequence, Tess Henley, Cataldo and several more. See here for the full schedule on when and where to catch the musical performances over the course of the weekend.
On Saturday, be sure not to miss the Fremont Solstice Parade in downtown Fremont. Produced by the Fremont Arts Council, the parade will include vibrant floats, bands and street performances. One of the main draws to the Fremont parade are the now famous solstice cyclists, comprised of more than 1,500 “naked but painted” community members on bicycles. If you don’t know what I’m talking about… you’ll see.
Kick off this summer right by celebrating the Summer Solstice with the arts community. This 3-day festival is free and open to the public.
When: June 17 – 19
Where: Downtown Fremont, ending at Gasworks Park
