Straight from El Paso, Texas, the American post-hardcore band At the Drive-In will be performing in Seattle this Wednesday, June 8 at the Showbox SoDo.

I am very exited to see these guys perform, ever since they announced their reunion after a very bad breakup. The band formed in 1993 and currently consists of Cedric Bixler (vocals), Omar Rodríguez (guitar, vocals), Paul Hinojos (bass), Tony Hajjar (drums) and Keeley Davis (guitar, vocals).

By mostly playing in basements and small venues across the western United States, At the Drive-In developed a large underground following. One night at a Los Angeles bar where there were only 9 people present—some of them employees of the Flipside record label—the band put on an *out of this world* show that changed their course of history. If you haven’t heard At the Drve-In before, I recommend you go and check this show out. They are fun and full of energy and you too will feel energized by their tunes.

Tickets start at $40 and are going fast!
