Visiting my children Matt and Nina in California is always such a treat! This weekend, I am here in sunny Santa Clara visiting my daughter for her Alpha Phi, Red Dress Gala. Nina and I always carve out some mom and daughter shopping time, and when she was a little girl, we coined this special type of date our, “Pink Wrapper Day!” Whenever I come to Santa Clara for a visit, our first stop is always at Nordstrom in the Westfield Valley Fair Mall.

Nina and I immediately checked out the Charlotte Tilbury counter in the cosmetics area. It was buzzing with clients and makeup stylists, and the smiles on all of their faces lit up the entire department. What a fun way to spend a Friday afternoon!

I met Amy Xiong, a Business Manager for Charlotte Tilbury at Nordstrom’s. Amy, who looked radiant, had just finished applying makeup on her customer, Katherine Pham, and Katherine looked stunning. Her skin glowed and her makeup really complimented her. She looked very natural and she was beaming. I could tell that she was happy with Amy’s expert application and the Charlotte Tilbury products.

Katherine accompanied her friend, Kathy Zhou, who also looked very happy after her makeup application by another Charlotte Tilbury makeup stylist. Kathy was on her way to work and looked both gorgeous and polished. I insisted on taking their photo because they looked so amazing. Amy shared that her husband loves the different looks that she can create for herself.

Charlotte, a devoted mother and business professional, knows how precious time is. She created “the transformative power of makeup,” which she uses on a daily basis. “From a young age, I noticed the effect a beautiful woman had entering a room and wanted to understand her secret weapon. Then, at thirteen, I discovered mascara and personally experienced the power of makeup. I have been hooked ever since.” This magical method is shown with Charlotte’s famous “one model, ten looks” illustration. With one model, she can create ten completely different faces! When you see the photo display, you won’t believe your eyes.
