Hugo House Lit Series, April 15

Richard Hugo House continues on its exploration of the writer’s worst nightmare–the cliché–in this year’s Literary Series. Their penultimate event of the series is coming up this Friday, April 15, as three writers will present original works prompted by the old adage, “All’s fair in love and war.” Featured on this program are novelist Andrew Sean Greer (The Confessions of Max Tivoli), essayist Claire Vaye Watkins (author of short-story collection Battleborn and, to any female writer, the life-shattering essay “On Pandering,” among many others) and local poet and educator Roberto Ascalon. Music will be provided by Seattle native DJAO (Alex Osuch), whose music, in his own words, “covers a wide fuzzy swath of the electronic spectrum.” Tickets are $25 general admission–buy them here.   Hugo House Lit Series: “All’s Fair in Love and War” When: Friday April 15, 7:30pm Where: Hugo House (1634 11th Ave E)
