The Representation Project is at it again with their latest documentary, The Mask You Live In, an exploration into America’s narrow definition of masculinity and how that plays out among today’s young men. SIFF Cinema Uptown will host a special screening and panel discussion this Thursday, March 10, presented by Wholehearted Masculine.

Directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom (whose previous credit includes 2011’s Miss Representation), The Mask You Live In follows a group of boys and young men as they navigate a culture filled with all kinds of mixed messages about what it means to be a man. Just take a look at the trailer to see what fellas today are up against.

The film has a runtime of 89 minutes and costs $12 to attend. Get your tickets in advance here.
