Way back in 1964, in Greenwich Village and Times Square, Peter Emmanuel Goldman created an ultra lo-fi film called Echoes of Silence, and now it’s back for a special presentation at the Northwest Film Forum as part of the Puget Soundtrack series.
This Friday, March 11, cellist and composer Lori Goldston will score the film live, alongside drummer Dan Sasaki in a musical event that promises to be dreamlike, experimental and weirdly immersive. Presented in 16 mm, the film consists of a series of sketches all about New York’s bohemian underground and the debauchery and character therein.
Tickets are available online at $15 for the general public and $12 for members. Attendees are encouraged to arrive 15-30 minutes before the screening to guarantee a seat. Tickets may be available before the show at the box office up to 30 minutes before the start time. Get ready for another trippy, nostalgic evening with the Northwest Film Forum.
