Seattle’s DIY online radio station, Hollow Earth Radio, kicks off their annual MAGMA FEST this Friday, March 4. The festival spans the month of March, and includes shows and presentations ranging from a “Glossophonic Showcase” to a lecture on LGBT characters in comic books to line-ups of local musicians and sound designers.

From the website:

MAGMA FEST is an annual month-long series of shows and events hosted by Hollow Earth Radio to exhibit diverse, experimental, and underground music, readings, and performances that we thrive on. We want to create a public forum for the people of Seattle to experience underrepresented sounds and perspectives, and try to embody that with different artists and performers each year.

Check out the extensive schedule on their website or the Facebook event page. The shows are all-ages, and ticketing is by suggested donation. Be sure to drop in on at least one of the many events to experience some of Seattle’s most unique artistic voices.
