British lifestyle brand Ted Baker is opening up its first High Tea-inspired store at Bellevue Square on Friday, March 4. Though originally specializing in contemporary men’s shirts at their founding store in Glasgow, Ted Baker London is now available worldwide with clothing lines for both men and women, including accessories, tech, audio and home fragrance. A fun little-known fact about Ted Baker: Inspired by the company’s attention to customer service and humor, the first stores used to provide a laundry service for every shirt purchased. Their above and beyond customer service helped the brand gain the title of “No Ordinary Designer Label”–which, despite not using any outside advertising campaign, continues today.
With inspiration from Seattle’s love of coffee, the new 2960-square-foot Ted Baker store will be reminiscent of a quintessentially British “High Tea” party. Tones of pastel pink, blues and mint interspersed with oversized white doily decals, bespoke tea tin-printed wallpaper and tiered cake-stand light fixtures will create a beautiful space to introduce their Spring/Summer 2016 collections.
More than just a pretty face, Ted Baker also has a clear fashion conscience. They recently joined forces with MADE-BY, a not-for-profit association who is examining Ted Baker’s business methods in efforts to continuously improve the overall sustainability of their collections, from the product used to make their clothing to the conditions for the people who work in their factories. You can chart the company’s progress measured against MADE-BY’s internationally accredited and recognized benchmarks on their website.
Customers will be treated to a Ted Baker gift with purchase and giveaway opportunities at the Grand Opening. Show your support for Ted Baker and pick up some of this season’s hottest pieces at Bellevue Square this weekend.
