CoCA Presents Jeremy Gregory’s “The Dirty Circus of Life,” Opening Feb. 24

Center on Contemporary Art (CoCA) and Columbia City Gallery are pleased to present Tacoma artist Jeremy Gregory, who brings his art to life through paintings and handcrafted posable puppets in his exhibition The Dirty Circus of Life. The exhibit opens this Wednesday, February 24 and runs through April 3, with a special Artist’s Reception this Saturday, February 27.

Jeremy’s talent has been recognized by City Arts Magazine as Tacoma’s Top Comic Artist for his alt-comic series in the magazine True Grit. He is an active participant in community mural projects in the Puget Sound region, and currently teaches graphic arts in downtown Tacoma at School of the Arts High School.

The Dirty Circus of Life is presented as part of the CoCA Pops Series in celebration of the art center’s 35th anniversary.

Sarah launched an art and society blog in 2008, along with a monthly salon at The Sorrento Hotel, which ran until June 2012. As executive editor of VanguardSeattle.com, Caples hopes to cultivate an informed dialog about regional culture and bring people of diverse backgrounds together in support of nonprofits, artists and community builders.
