reSET returns for its third installment at Washington Ensemble Theatre this week, with two late-night performances on February 4 and 5. The series’ mission is to give performance opportunities to dancers who otherwise wouldn’t have access to fully realized sets; this particular show is set to the backdrop of The Ensemble’s The Motherfucker with the Hat, in its closing week at 12th Ave Arts.

This installment of reSET features dancer and Ensemble co-founder Marc Kenison (aka Waxie Moon, in Seattle’s burlesque scene) and durational performance artist Alice Gosti with new original dance works.

From the press release:

reSET is the brainchild of Seattle-based choreographer Mark Haim, who recognized that dancers don’t often have opportunities to utilize complex or fully-realized sets. Working with The Ensemble’s Lead Producer Ali Mohamed el-Gasseir, Haim sought out to make this series a reality. reSET had its inaugural performance in May 2015 on the contemporary, dust-ridden set of The Tall Girls. Acts that have previously performed at reSET include The Three Yells, Jody Kuehner (aka Cherdonna Sinatra), Wade Madsen, and Babette Pendleton.

Tickets are $10 and available online.
