Arts educator Rob Prufer‘s series The Loggia Lectures returns to Bellevue Arts Museum on January 19 for an exploration of the sensuous work of Italian Baroque painter Caravaggio, inspired by the current exhibition, Camp Fires: The Queer Baroque of Léopold L. Foulem, Paul Mathieu, and Richard Milette. Caravaggio’s work “teems with beguiling sensuality and earthy spirituality,” and the lecture will illuminate “connections between Caravaggio’s work and the artwork on display,” in the galleries.

Check out the event page on BAM’s website for info and the dates of upcoming Loggia Lectures each month. There is a suggested $5 donation per lecture, which includes admission to galleries until 7 PM when the lecture begins.
