On Thursday, January 21, renowned ceramicist and former UW professor Patti Warashina will be sitting down with artist, critic, and Gage Academy co-founder Gary Faigin at Town Hall. Warashina is well-known for her female figurines, distinguished by bold colors and evocative gestures, and the conversation will aim to shed light on her creative process and intentions.
Warashina has showed her pieces in major museums including the Smithsonian, the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art, the Seattle Art Museum and the Kyoto’s National Museum of Modern Art, not to mention a solo show at Bellevue Arts Museum in 2013.
