The first Capitol Hill Artwalk of 2016 is this Thursday, January 14. The event has been expanded to many venues, and you can see the map of participants on the official website. Our big recommendation for the month is Center on Contemporary Art’s group show of wearable art, Bling it On! at Rubix (515 Harvard Ave E).

The event runs through February 20 and features jewelry by Kyle Rees, Catherine Grisez, Pariscope Studios, Hardwearables, Dixie Darling and Brandon Perhacs and wearable art by Bo Choi, Rebecca Maxim, Bill Gaylord, and Liz Tran. The show opens on Wednesday, January 13 for those who want a first look before the reception during Capitol Hill Artwalk. From 6 to 9 PM on January 14, guests can meet the creators and learn more about the boundary-pushing pieces on display.

On Thursday, February 11, there will be a special trunk show and live performance. The selection of work will be expanded, and may be a perfect place to find a Valentine gift for yourself or someone else.
