COLLECT Art Tour: West Seattle Edition, January 14

For January 2016, COLLECT art tours heads to West Seattle this Thursday, January 14. The party bus departs from home base Vermillion in Capitol Hill, currently exhibiting photography of Shenzhen, China by Viola Jean Photography. Special guest Chef Tarik Abdullah will curate culinary experiences to complement each stop on the tour. Abdullah is known for his pop-up restaurants focused on Mediterranean cuisine and was chosen by Anthony Bourdain for last season’s The Taste on ABC.

Destinations of the COLLECT tour in West Seattle include:

  • Twilight Gallery featuring paintings by Arshin Aghashteh and an exhibit of small works for under $250
  • The home of Kelly Lyles, painter and Artcar designer.
  • The studios of artists Tom and Malayka Gormally. Malayka Gormally‘s oil paintings “focus on multi-racial and intergenerational family and friend in the arts: hip hop musicians, chefs, writers, actors and artists.” Tom Gormally is an award winning sculptor of wood and mixed media.
