Looking for cool gift ideas? The Renegade Craft Fair returns to Seattle on December 19 and 20, from 11 AM to 6 PM. The Fair is a gathering of over 175 carefully chosen artisans, local food vendors and hands-on workshops that can get your holiday spirit into high gear. It features emerging and established designers that focus on handcrafted goods, ranging from one-of-a-kind jewelry, bespoke apparel and accessories, natural beauty products, re-purposed lighting and furniture, housewares and affordable art. (Check out the impressive list of vendors here.)
Renegade Craft Fair was founded in 2003 as a platform for the DIY community to break into the design market and reach whole communities. It attracts over 325,000 attendees across 22 events in 8 cities: Chicago, IL; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Austin, TX; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; and London, UK.
The Seattle fair will be held indoors at Hangar 30, inside Sand Point’s Magnuson Park. See a map of the area online. Admission is free. Even better, Uber is sponsoring rides to the event, and new users can get up to $20 off their first Uber rides using the code RCF2015. To sign up, download the app or visit uber.com/go/RCF2015.
