UNIQLO will open their first store in the Northwest on November 6, 2015 in Bellevue Square at the former JCPenney site. The Japanese retailer is known for their mass-produced, affordable basics that are sold worldwide. Most of UNIQLO stores are in Japan, but it also has locations in the U.S., France, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, China and Taiwan, among other countries, and are on major shopping streets in New York, London and Paris.

The 16,000 square foot Bellevue store will house the brand’s full assortment of men’s, women’s and children’s collections and collaborations with designers such as Jil Sander, Lulu Guinnes, Laura Ashley and iconic British textiles designer Celia Bartwell. The latest collaboration is with former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld. Inspired by Roitfeld’s trademark style, the yet unseen collection is said to include coats and jackets, as well as the 60-year-old’s beloved pencil skirts, and lace and leather touches.

Another collaboration will be close to Seattle’s heart: The Seattle Seahawks. UNIQLO and the Seahawks have made a commitment to activate a youth mentorship program in the greater Seattle area throughout the season. “UNIQLO’s promise to serve local communities runs parallel to the Seahawks commitment to the entire Pacific Northwest,” said Mike Flood, Seahawks Vice President of Community Relations. “We look forward to supporting UNIQLO’s Seattle launch and working together to enrich the lives of young people in our area.”

UNIQLO is located at 2110 Bellevue Square, Bellevue, Washington 98004.
