On Thursday October 29, New Tech Seattle will be holding its 3rd Annual Seattle Startup Week Keynote Event at Galvanize. New Tech Seattle prioritizes the building of community and support through large networking events that try to remove the barriers and awkwardness that large events sometimes have. Big tech names are expected to be in attendance, including Vitaly Khozyainov of Odin.
Seattle Startup Week is planned as a celebration of entrepreneurship in the city, with lectures, workshops and parties all week. (Check out the full schedule on the official website.) This will be one of the more social and vibrant events of the week, attended by—in New Tech Seattle’s words—“developers, designers, startup founders, investors, enterprise C-level types, marketers, recruiters, startup employees and lovers, friends of thee folks who enjoy meeting interesting people and the occasional confused sasquatch…” The night includes a meet-and-mingle portion, followed by presentations from local innovators, including: Mauricio Gonzalez de la Fuente for KoduCare; Helen Wang for K6Crickets; Scott Brown for Smart KAPP; Harrison magun for Porch.
As a final endorsement: If you haven’t been in the Galvanize space yet, we highly recommend it. The Colorado-based tech incubator company opened its Seattle campus in a beautifully renovated, historic building right near Occidental Park. The combination of the optimistic New Tech Seattle and the gorgeous venue at Galvanize will most definitely create a setting for a successful evening.
