This holiday season Bow & Drape will offer both customized and ready-made apparel and items for the home at select Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com. The company has been offering customized and statement-making apparel almost exclusively through bowanddrape.com since 2012, and this opportunity with Nordstrom provides customers hands-on access to one of the hottest—and sparkliest— lifestyle brands of the moment.

From November 19 through December 24 Downtown Nordstrom will offer on-demand customization, allowing Nordstrom customers to design any fashion or home item and take it home with them same-day. Bow & Drape featured products will include customized sweatshirts, pouches, pillows, mugs,
holiday present sacks and even custom Huy Fong Sriracha bottles. The pillow, mugs and holiday present sacks are Nordstrom exclusives, available only at participating Nordstrom locations and online.

Bow & Drape has engineered proprietary in store procedures and technologies specifically for customization, and will showcase these processes at scale for the first time. It’s a first-of-its-kind approach in an industry looking to translate community engagement to traffic in-store. The customer journey is this: Much like an Apple store, customers can play around with products themselves and approach a specialist if they need help designing an item. Using an iPad, the customer will order their design and Nordstrom staff will create the item for the customer same day. Customers can hang out in store or grab a coffee, and pick up their item after about an hour.

As Bow & Drape CEO Aubrie Pagano stated, “We are basically allowing adults to have some holiday playtime. I like to think of it as a Build-A-Bear for fashion, where customers can make something one-of-a-kind for themselves or for
a special someone. In the time it would take a customer to pick something off-the-rack, they can instead dream it up with Bow & Drape. That, to me, is the future of retail.”

A curated selection of ready-made Bow & Drape fashion and home products will be available at fifty Nordstrom stores nationwide and online at Nordstrom.com.
