The Seattle South Asian Film Festival (SSAF) is the single best place to discover and experience thought-provoking cinema out of South Asia. The festival includes 32 features and 27 shorts, representing nine countries and more than 24 filmmakers. Festivities begin Thursday, October 15 at 7 PM with an opening night gala at AMC Pacific Place in downtown Seattle. The first film, For Here or To Go? chronicles the trials and tribulations of a group of immigrants in America during the 2008 recession. Events and film screenings will take place over several days at a variety of venues in Seattle, Bellevue, Bothell, Redmond and Renton.
