The Bellevue Collection has announced the eight designers selected to be featured in the fourth annual Independent Designer Runway Show (IDRS) during the 10th annual Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection. The eight designers, chosen from numerous applicants, showed innovative collections and silhouettes that stood out and won a place in this prestigious show.
During the months-long creative process leading up to the IDRS, each designer receives mentoring from a panel of fashion insiders. The panel for this year is Marj Turner of Fashion Group International, Seattle Met Magazine Style Editor, Amanda Zurita, Bruce Pflaumer of Michael Bruce Image Consulting and Patricia Wolfkill, a 20-year veteran of the fashion industry
Each IDRS designer will construct a signature line that will be featured on the Bellevue Collection website and social media, and the design process will culminate with a fully produced runway show that kicks off Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection. This show is consistently sold out, and attendees of the event have a chance to meet the designers personally and get a hands-on look at some of the original designs prior to the runway show.
The winner chosen by the panel immediately following the runway show will receive a $5000 cash prize furnished by The Kemper Freeman Family and The Bellevue Collection and will have their collection displayed in Bellevue Square during the month of October. Panel members will judge the designers on their creativity and originality, workmanship, business model and presentation.
