Seattle loves cinema, and one of the city’s biggest events every spring is the Seattle International Film Festival. SIFF is the largest film festival on the continent, drawing hundreds of films from around the world for almost a whirlwind of events and showings lasting almost a month. Even when the festival isn’t happening, SIFF cinema shows new and classic films.
Even the most basic memberships provide $5 off admission at the cinema, early bird festival pass specials and ticket packages at deep discounts. Higher tiers of membership offer priority seating at free events and complimentary passes. You can even give a family pass that will provide for groups of four.
The 2015 festival runs from May 14 to June 7, and SIFF’s annual holiday sale is already offering festival packs and tickets to the grand gala. So if the film fanatic in your life is already a member, you may consider getting them a ticket to the red carpet shindig. (Get a membership first, though, as the discount more than covers the cost and you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits as well!)
