Updated, December 11: Because of the heavy windstorms expected tonight, SAM is postponing the SAM Lights event one week. It is now on December 18.

This winter, Seattle Art Museum plans to brighten your season with new programs connecting art, the environment and our community. The Olympic Sculpture Park shuts down around sundown, which is of course quite early this time of year, but on December 18 you can experience the sculpture park at night and walk its paths glowing with hundreds of lights and luminarias. It will be a rare and beautiful sight to behold.

Make art, listen to music, sip a hot drink, grab a sweet bite, and take in the sights with family and friends. Come wearing your best light ensemble to become a part of the art. Free and open to all ages.

Winter programming at the Olympic Sculpture Park is supported by Maggie and Doug Walker, and Martha Wyckoff and Jerry Tone. Learn more about the arts and music of the SAM Lights event on the SAM website, where you can also read more about other winter programs at the sculpture park.
