Designer, book author, inspirational businesswoman and role model Diane von Furstenberg wears many hats, and wears them all with style and grace. An icon both in the fashion and business worlds, von Furstenberg continues to embrace what is new and what inspires her to be her best self. On the heels of the release of her latest book, The Woman I Wanted To Be, which will be released on October 28, 2014, von Furstenberg is also appearing in a new television reality series. Her new show for E!, House of DVF, will feature young contestants competing for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to work closely with the iconic designer and travel the world as the new DVF “global brand ambassador.”
Von Furstenberg is appearing in town for a private reception in mid-November, but she is making a more public appearance on Friday, November 14, at Elliott Bay Book Company to speak about the book and about her life in fashion. The appearance will include an introduction by Seattle Art Museum’s Deputy Director for Art Chiyo Ishikawa and an onstage interview with Nordstrom’s Managing Editor of Blogs Laura Cassidy. A Q&A and book signing will follow.
Diane von Furstenberg is an icon that continues to inspire with her creativity, her curiosity, and her ability to see the beauty in everything. Mark your calendar for two great opportunities to be part of the conversation about fashion and life with this great lady.
