Next weekend, on Saturday, October 25, Seattle’s choral group Pro Musica, conducted by Karen Thomas, will present a one-of-a-kind program. The special ArtsCrush event will feature new music by nine notable composers residing in the Pacific Northwest.

The award-winning Pro Musica was named one of “America’s very best choirs” by the American Record Guide, and endeavors to deliver a “world of choral beauty” with each new performance. They are also known for adventurous programming as evidenced by projects such as Nine NW. They also have extensive outreach appearances and a music education program to bring choral music to new audiences.

The line-up for Nine NW features choral favorites from an esteemed grouping of composers, including Morten Lauridsen, Vijay Singh, Brian Galante, Sheila Bristow, John Muehleisen, Donald Skirvin, Karen P. Thomas, Reginald Unterseher and Giselle Wyers. A composer panel will be presented before the concert, guaranteed to further enhance the evening’s listening experience.
