Choreographer Olivier Wevers‘ dance company Whim W’him has been growing and maturing in its first five years, parallel to Wevers’ own growth as an artist and his knack for collaboration. Whim W’him deftly fuses classical and contemporary dance, and Wevers has worked with diverse local artists, international choreographers and a range of subject matter. The result has been a unique, polished body of work that is also accessible to audiences who are new to contemporary dance.

Needless to say, all of that creativity and talent makes them good at throwing parties, too.

On Thursday, November 6, Whim W’him will hold its annual Out on a Whim party in South Lake Union. The party begins at 6 PM with a silent auction and cocktail reception. The auction items are always a fun blend of experiences, art and fashionable goodies, and all funds raised will support the dance company’s 2014-15 season. A sumptuous spread will be served starting at 8 PM, accompanied by performances from company dancers, emceed by Duell Fisher. Come attired for a cocktail party, enjoy a festive night for the arts, and maybe take home some treats of your own.
