Recently the VanguardSeattle team had a chance to check out a super fabulous store in Belltown: Moorea Seal. I was blown away by the selection and unique pieces that truly spoke to my personal taste. Once only an online retailer, Moorea Seal recently opened up a storefront on Third Avenue and Vine. The space is eclectic, filled with vibrant and enticing details. The simple display of such interesting and unique pieces is refreshing. White shelves and walls accented by hardwood floors. There is a distinctly modern, yet rustic vibe to the entire store. Moorea Seal features bags, jewelry, scarves and other accessories from all over the world—but is clearly inspired by the spirit and style of Seattle: casual cool mixed with a deep love for aesthetic appeal.
What really caught my eye was the selection of jewelry and stationery—two of my favorite items to peruse when shopping. I picked up a planner and sketchbook that fit my needs perfectly. Humorous cards fill an entire wall and gorgeous notepads and journals decorate the tables.
The jewelry ranges from delicate to bold. I was very tempted by the awesome Brass Taurus Necklace shown below. This necklace makes a great statement, but is still appropriate for everyday wear. The store has a variety of price points, as well as brands. Shoes from Dolce Vita are mixed with hand crafted booties from Guatemala. These Uxibal cut-out boots are gorgeously hand-crafted and add a bit more spice to the usual shoe.
The products at Moorea Seal are more than just a pretty face. 7 percent of profits benefit five non-profit categories: health and wellness charities, animals in need, environmental protection, the support of women around the globe, and organizations dedicated to children in need. I definitely recommend a trip down to this beautifully designed and curated store.
