Why do women love jewelry so much? I believe it is because it is the finishing touch, the pièce de résistance of any outfit. Whether you are wearing a stack of rings, a big statement necklace, or a simple strand of pearls, what you choose to complete your outfit tells as much of a story about you as the outfit itself.

I am always on the lookout for cool jewelry and accessories that stand out from the crowd. One path to owning that coveted one-of-a-kind-piece is personalized jewelry, something that is uniquely yours through your initials, names or dates that mean something special to you.

I first saw G.Rock L.A. on the blog Atlantic-Pacific where blogger Blair Eadie was shown wearing a custom 14k solid gold ring with her full name wrapped all the way around. I was enchanted by G.Rock’s edgy look that takes the classic personalization of jewelry and makes it cool and modern.

When G.Rock L.A. designer Goli Ghodooshim’s pieces first made an impression on friends, she began designing and personalizing custom pieces for them. Soon strangers started stopping her on the LA streets to buy bracelets off her wrist, and by 2012 G.Rock L.A. had grown into designing custom pieces for personal clients, musicians, artists and independent boutiques across the United States. Goli says she has found her life’s passion through creating jewelry that makes people happy and telling their unique life story though each piece they purchase. “I want people to feel confident and connected to what they wear and what their jewelry reflects. Every piece I wear is a reminder of my daughter, family and the moments that have inspired me.”

While the rings are a personal favorite, I also adore the diamond arrow necklace and the arrow bracelets. G.Rock also makes mens’ jewelry as well—cuffs, bracelets and necklaces. The Web site for G.Rock jewelry is in the works, but you can find them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Email grockjewels@gmail.com for pricing and more information.
