Epic summer aside here in the Pacific Northwest, September proves to have enough fashion fun on the calendar to more than get you in the mood for a new season. Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection is September 24-28, 2014 and has a full week of fashionable happenings both on and off the runway.
The calendar of events include complimentary events like “Fashion Forecast”, hosted by fashion and style expert Lawrence Zarian and Cara Crowley of Vogue, who will share how to make the latest fall trends work for every type of lifestyle. Vanguard Seattle Executive Editor Sarah Caples and I attended a Vogue Trend Luncheon that Zarian and Crowley hosted last year and found it to be a really fun and informative event with these approachable style experts. There are also beauty events with first-hand tips from beauty brands featured at Nordstrom and Macy’s to learn all about this fall’s hottest trends in beauty and much more. You can see the calendar of complimentary events here.
Premiere shows begin on Wednesday, September 24with the Independent Designer Runway Show featuring ten designers from the Seattle area that are chosen to show their creative vision through their Fall 2014 collections. (Check out our review of last year’s show to see the high level of talent and polish one can expect.) It is a fabulous showcase of the region’s independent designer talent, including Tom Ordonio of Tom Ordonio, Lu. by Jenny Fort, and APRIL PRIDE by April Pride. (Check out our profile of April Pride for the Style Fold.)
This event sells out so it would be wise to grab a ticket now and support the IDRS program through your ticket purchase.
