Set in a post-apocalyptic, icy future, Snowpiecer, directed by Bong Joon Ho (The Host), is a film narrative adapted from a French graphic novel, Le Transperceneige, set on a train infinitely moving over the frozen earth. The setting itself is a claustrophobic, cinematic battleground and a concise metaphor for the hierarchy in place between inhabitants at the head and tail of the train—the haves and have-nots, respectively. With Chris Evans (Captain America), Tilda Swinton (Only Lovers Left Alive, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot), John Hurt (Hellboy), Snowpiecer delivers with a knock-out cast and an emotionally charged, action-packed story of survival and hope that will leave filmgoers in a state of thought-provoking bliss.
