The latest Pop-In @ Nordstrom shop is called “Let’s Go” and has the carefree air of a summer road trip. Pack it up with cool essentials, like Poler tents, sleeping bags and coffee kits, Stanley coolers, and styling Topo knapsacks, travel kits and bags. Don’t forget the Alite ‘Mayfly’ Low Riding Convertible & Collapsible Camping Chair and a Faribault Woolen Mill throw for relaxing along the way. Looking groovy and being comfortable on the road is easy with Sundry sweats and shirts, and The Mountain graffic tees. Keep in touch with the JOOS orange portable solar charger—which would make a rock star Father’s Day gift, by the way.

One of my personal favorites from this Pop-In is beach towel series, produced in collaboration with Works on Whatever (WOW). The beach towels are a part of collection of artist-designed functional objects, all reinventions of common commercial items, commissioned and produced in the name of public engagement and to expand the audience for contemporary art. Now that, my friends, is cool.

Even if you aren’t really traveling far, the Let’s Go Pop-In has unique gifts for summer party hostess gifts, graduation and all kinds of festive occasions. The clay figures from Aaron Murray, a local artist in Washington State and beautifully done letterpress wooden postcards by Sideshow Press are unique and fun. Or, you can really knock their socks off with a Byer of Maine Easy Traveller Hammock. Its all about lighthearted, artistic and imaginative fun.

Olivia Kim, Creative Director for Nordstrom, does it just right with an eclectic and unique Pop-In just in time for summer fun. The “Let’s Go” Pop-In @ Nordstrom is online at beginning May 30 and in eight stores, including downtown Seattle and Bellevue Square.
