Wanna get glammed out and show up the bleak Seattle norm? Feel like channeling your inner Marc Bolan or David Bowie? Or BOTH?

Come to the opening reception of the CoCA annual!
From May 15th to August 1st CoCA’s 24th Annual show will be up, focused on PostGlamism: Glam Art in the 21st Century. With artwork selected by an independent juror, it’s bound to be awesome. This year’s curators chose Michael Sweney, from the Washington State Arts Commission, to select the artists’ presenting. I am looking forward to seeing what Dylan Neuwirth and Matthew Rowe have in store for us!

The opening night artists’ reception is this Thursday, May 15th, from 5 pm to 9pm at the Seattle Design Center (5701 Sixth Avenue South, Suite 258). There will be music, libations, and snacking, plus hella bling.

Pessimistic about small scale issues, optimistic about large scale issues. Of the bleached hair variety. Does not tan. Does not do math well. Enjoys macroeconomics. Cuddler of puppies and kittens worldwide. Wields a Hasselblad medium format camera like it ain’t no thang. May one day finish writing a novel. Fiction over non fiction. Globe trotter of the third world. Has visited a suspicious number of communist countries. Buddhist aspirant, yoga dabbler. Long distance runner, voter of the underdog. Likes a good steak salad, is not currently in love, and would prefer medium rare on both counts.
