If you are a fan of horror and can pry yourself away from the behemoth that is SIFF, make sure to check out Crypticon that is being held over Memorial weekend on May 23rd to the May 25th.
The convention will be filled with special guests, such as Tom Savini (From Dusk til Dawn, Django), Carel Struycken (Addams Family, Twin Peaks), and Doug Jones (Hellboy and Hellboy II, Pan’s Labyrinth) to just name a few. There will also be plenty of vendors and artists on site.
Don’t miss the Film Festival that will have a couple of new independent and mainstream horror films. I noticed that one of the movies is a documentary on the making of Cheap Thrills that played at last year’s SIFF. It is just one of those movies you can’t forget. I can’t even begin to describe how messed up that film is. If you saw Cheap Thrills, then you will definitely want to check out Vital Heat.

Crypticon is always an awesome time for me and other fans of horror. NW-lensed horror movie DRIFTER will be holding it’s World Premiere as the con’s Friday Night Midnight Movie – you can check out the trailer here: http://skullfaceastronaut.com/drifter.html
